We were delighted to provide transport to a local afternoon tea hosted by Mid Ulster District Council! ☕🍰
Everyone had a wonderful afternoon, enjoying great company and plenty of conversation. It was lovely to help our community get out and about and be part of such an enjoyable event.

Day 5 – CT Week

It’s Community Transport Week! 🎉 A wonderful opportunity to celebrate the vital role community transport plays in helping people stay connected, independent and involved in their communities.
This year’s theme, ‘Driving Communities Forward’, captures exactly what community transport is all about—because every journey makes a difference. Today, we’re shining a well-deserved spotlight on our fantastic drivers, who do so much more than help people get from A to B. They take the time to connect with passengers, understand their challenges and worries, and recognise just how valuable each journey can be in helping someone maintain their independence. Our compassionate chauffeurs build trust and confidence with every mile, reminding us that ‘the only trip you regret is the one you didn’t take.’ We’re incredibly proud of this brilliant bunch of gents, who always go above and beyond. Thank you, guys—you’re amazing!

And a huge heartfelt thank-you to our wonderful office staff, volunteers and management team! 💛 Your dedication behind the scenes keeps every journey moving—from coordinating bookings and supporting passengers to generously giving your time, sharing your expertise and guiding the service. Every one of you plays an essential part in keeping our communities connected. Your kindness, hard work and teamwork never go unnoticed, and today we celebrate you all.

It’s Community Transport Week! This year’s theme, “Driving Communities Forward”, celebrates the drivers, volunteers and community transport groups who help people access essential services, maintain their independence and stay connected. 🚐

Our Minibus Sales Manager, Joanne, has worked with many community transport groups across Northern Ireland and the UK, helping them find accessible minibus solutions for the communities they serve.

Community Transport supports access to healthcare, education, work, volunteering, shopping, social activities and essential local services.

📢 Out & About Community Transport would like to draw your attention to much-needed support for households across Northern Ireland!
Are you using home heating oil to heat your home? You or a family member could be eligible for a £100 support card to help with your energy costs this season.
The Home Heating Oil Support Scheme is open for applications, and we want to ensure everyone in our community gets the help they are entitled to.
🔹 What you get: A £100 digital pre-paid card per eligible household.
🔹 Who qualifies: NI residents using heating oil who receive certain benefits (like Universal Credit, PIP, or Pension Credit) OR have a household net annual income under £30,000.
🔹 Deadline: You must apply before 31 March 2027.
👉 Apply online now: Fill out your application directly on the nidirect Home Heating Oil Support portal.
