Thanks to a grant received from North Yorkshire Council, we have 6 new electric Lexmoto Yadea G5S motor scooters. These 125cc equivalent bikes are suitable to urban commuting or those that live rurally and not close to a petrol station.

The batteries charge via a standard domestic 3 pin plug, from empty to full in 3 to 4 hours and have a range around 60 miles, more if you ride steadily, or in "eco" mode.

To join the scheme you need to live in one of the old boroughs of Ryedale, Scarborough, Selby, or the City of York. Be 17 or over and have a provisional driving licence. If you haven't done your CBT, you can still apply but joining the scheme you will need to undertake and pass the CBT.

One of the main questions we get asked is, "What do I need to apply to join the scheme?"

Are you recently retired or just looking for something else to do??

Yesterday we took delivery of five brand new electric mopeds 🛵 to augment our fleet of 23 petrol-driven scooters, bringing the total fleet to 28. This has been achieved thanks to joint funding from North Yorkshire County Council and Anglo American. We thank Vmoto for the delivery of the Super Soco bikes which will soon be available for hire.😎😆
