Well, the holiday was cut short!

Had a call at 23:00 last night, Company has had a truck go down and they couldn’t let there customer down! So unfortunately the Spanish sun will have to wait as the wheels need to be turning !

Loading Stockport > Nottingham!

Side note: I have a sense of humour please don’t think we park the truck up because of the weather, this week work isn’t as busy and thankfully due to our low standing costs we can afford to go home and enjoy the sunshine. Although I would much rather be working sometimes it’s nice to enjoy some downtime!

P.s. I am going Benidorm this weekend so we are closed Friday - Monday ❌ 😂

⚠️ SEVERE WEATHER WARNING ⚠️

Due to the extreme temperatures currently affecting the UK, management has decided to park the truck up and send our driver home on full pay until temperatures become sustainable for our drivers to work in.

At DC European Haulage Ltd, we understand that a truck is essentially just a large metal box, and without proper air conditioning the risks of sitting inside a cab during this weather can become extremely dangerous.

Our Employee of the Month David Crossley, has also been sent to Benidorm for the next few days to “visit some of our Spanish customers.” 🇪🇸☀️

We would like to remind everybody during this heatwave to:
💧 Stay hydrated
🧴 Wear suncream
🥵 Avoid unnecessary time in the heat

Back to it after a nice long weekend, Mondays job got cancelled so we spent the day at home but back at it today and fully booked for the rest of the week 😁

We are happy to confirm we will be attending the funeral of William James Lord (Jim) Friday 05/06/26.

Thank you to everyone tagging us in the Facebook appeal, I understand how difficult planning a funeral can be and the cost effect of losing a loved one and I’m more than happy to assist and help when possible and obviously we have no interest in charging the family for this service we are just happy to help.

If any other hauliers want to join the family have authorised me to share the details below, I understand some company’s are unable to stand down a truck for a day due to the cost implications
