It is with the greatest sadness I announce the death of my ford transit.

It was parked in rome on a street near a friends house and some thieves broke in, stripping it of many vital parts and vandalising many other parts. I believe they got the van started, yet could not move it because of my steering wheel lock. The steering wheel was ripped off the steering rack and still locked inside the lock. I also believe the thieves were professionals as they knew which parts to remove, and they popped the window out of the drivers cab without smashing it.

HOWEVER, in one final fight, the van defended ALL of our equipment as the thieves didn’t manage to open the back doors because of the secondary lock I had fitted.

RIP Transit, you’ve served many bands well.

Now i wait for the insurance payout.

Stay vigilant folks, watch where you park.
