‼️ A little bit of housekeeping from us as the traffic situation in Nairn is set to get a lot worse from next week… ‼️

✈️ If you have somewhere important to be at a specific time (ie docs appt, train or flight to catch) we would advise you to book this at least 1 hour in advance at minimum (a day ahead would be even better)

⏰ For general bookings we will of course strive to get to you in a timely manner but this may be out of our control if we are late, so please bear that in mind when you are booking

✅ With that being said, please make sure you are ready and that you have all your belongings at the time the taxi is due to depart. This allows us to keep on time for other customers that are waiting

⏳ ASAP app bookings - a reminder that ASAP stands for ‘as soon as possible’ - not right now. Recently people have made an ASAP booking and expected the taxi to be round the corner waiting. If you have made an ASAP booking, the taxi will be with you when it is next possible. Once the job has been allocated to a driver, you can track their progress and ETA on the map. If you have to be somewhere, please use the scheduling option to schedule for a time

🌙 A reminder that our weekday evenings & weekends are operating on a pre-booked basis. You are of course welcome to call and check for last minute availability too. Please see our pinned post for more info

Been a lot in the news about this over the weekend and we’d like to share our thoughts

At Moray Taxis Nairn we are in complete disagreement with the below article and firmly believe the tariff does NOT need to be raised.

Yes, fuel prices are rising and may well continue to rise, but they will fall again at some point too. It is unfair to punish the customer when the current Highland tariff is already at, what we believe, is a good price.

The tariff gets reviewed every couple of years, and most operators opposed to a rise last time round, and I’m sure most would be the same if this proposal to bring the review forward goes ahead.

What’s your thoughts?

🚨 A polite reminder…

If you think you’re going to be sick in the taxi, PLEASE TELL US 🙄😂

We’ve been doing this long enough. We can normally sense it coming before you can. The sudden silence. The window going down. The deep breathing. The “can you turn the heating off”

Just say the words:
“Mate… I think I’m going to be sick”

Most of us will happily pull over

And when we do, please make a decent attempt at getting out of the car, don’t just open your mouth and hope for the best

Don’t open the door 3 inches and proceed to dribble your dinner, six pints and a Barbie Bomb all the way down the side of the car - get your head properly outside and let nature take its course.

Most decent drivers will even pause the meter while you chunder

And if we offer you a bottle of water afterwards, please take it. It’s not just kindness, by this point your driver is probably absolutely riddled with anxiety, listening to every burp and hiccup, wondering whether they’re about to be off the road for the rest of the night disinfecting the back seat.

We genuinely do not want to charge you £150 because Spewy Hughie called 🤮

Your driver, our upholstery and tomorrow morning’s passengers will all thank you 🤢🚕😂
