Our drivers have years of driving experience under their belts from driving coaches continentally, plus owning horses for 15years plus. Terms and Conditions
The Company will be transporting the Client’s horse(s) at the Client’s own risk. These conditions take into account the Client’s obligation to take out the appropriate insurance for their horse. We strongly recommend that insurance is in plac
e at all times to cover the loss or injury of any horse(s) which are being transported on the Client’s behalf. The Company does not take responsibility for any injury/death to the Client’s horse (unless the Company is deemed negligent). The Company’s Property and Damages
The Company’s property can be inspected before the transport takes place and any existing damage, if any, can be recorded at the Client’s own accord. The Client will be liable for any damage costs caused by the horse(s) to the Company’s property. Fees
In the event that the Client’s horse fails to load; the Client is liable for the cost of mileage which the vehicle has travelled (to and from the collection address) and the time spent trying to load the Client’s horse(s) (fee of £10.00 per hour). Journey Times and Pricing
Prices will be determined by the Client’s initial request. The Client agrees that prices may change depending on exceptional circumstances. These are as follows:
The route/weather/driving conditions becoming unsafe for both drivers and horse(s) – resulting in the route being altered/delayed which may increase the mileage/duration of the journey (this includes emergency overnight stabling fees). The Company reserves the right to cancel journeys and will offer to rearrange to a later date if viable. Circumstances that will not alter the price initially quoted are as follows:
Road works and road closures. Accidents on the road causing a delay or alternative route. Road congestion. All journey times are estimates and are subject to change; however the Company will endeavour to arrive at the desired destination as close to the expected quoted time as possible. Veterinary Treatment
Every safety precaution will be thoroughly checked and undertaken before each journey to ensure a safe, relaxed and comfortable journey. In the event that the Client’s horse(s) becomes too unsettled to continue or in the event that the Client’s horse(s) is taken ill; the Company reserves the right to contact the nearest Veterinarian available, for treatment or sedation if this is deemed necessary, to continue with the journey safely and to maintain the welfare of the Client’s horse(s). The Client will be deemed liable for any Veterinary expenses and any delays/increase in mileage as a result. Payment
A deposit of 25% (of the total cost for transport) is required by the Company in order to secure the Client’s booking & requested date of travel. All deposits received are non-transferable and can not be transferred to another date. All bookings taken are on a first come first serve basis. All deposits taken are refundable with the exception of when cancellation is made within 7 days of the date of transport. Full payment is to be made prior to the date of transport unless the Company and the Client has agreed for payment to be made otherwise. By making payment to the Company, the Client fully understands and accepts the Terms and Conditions. Cancellations
If the Client wishes to cancel the transportation of their horse(s) and end the agreement between the Company and Client at any point; they reserve the right to do so. If the Client ends the agreement within 7 days of the date of transport they will be subject to a cancellation fee of 25% of the total cost of transport:
The deposit made by the Client will be retained by the Company as payment for the cancellation fee. In the event of no deposit being made by the Client, the Client will be invoiced for the cancellation fee. If the Client ends the agreement within 24 hours prior to, or on the date of transport they will be subject to full payment of the total cost of transport. The Company will endeavour to only end the agreement when absolutely necessary or in an emergency. In this event, the Client will be entitled to a full refund of any payment made. It is a legal requirement for all horses/ponies/donkeys to travel with their passport.
