Phew, it's 10am and already 30C in Newport. I was going to spend the morning at Newport magistrates court doing some research so I can introduce some court proceedings and scenes into future Gareth Rhys novels. But I've decided to stay home and enjoy ice cream and cold drinks instead 😎.
