Right guys. Wee bit of a warning here - today, we took a booking for 2 fairly local jobs total cost of the runs came to £25 ish. They booked through a company online who called and made the bookings for them but charged them £50!!!!!! They are not locals, so wouldn’t have realised what a rip off that was. Please don’t use these middle men companies as they will rip you off!! Call us direct, email or message.

Second time in two weeks in writing the exact same status about the same situation.
Me and my passenger assistant were verbally abused while out picking up our disabled child on our school run. Why the bloody hell can people not be kind and respectful when you can see we are doing something important, Following the Highway Code and the law. The guy this time was in his work van displaying what an absolute ar****le he is, so I’ve very kindly made his company aware of what a prick he is. No way on earth would I have him in my home doing work for me. His impatience caused embarrassment and distress to my child I’m caring for, so it doesn’t just affect me and my assistant it affects a person who feels embarrassed for needing the help as it is. Furious again. SORT YOUR LIFE OUT.

Today I was assaulted. Just doing my job and taking a disabled person home with the help of a personal assistant when an impatient man decided to threaten me and proceed to spit in my face. All because I was in the way with my car. I couldn’t move, I have a legal obligation to ensure the young person got into their home. I was parked facing the correct direction on a street that gave me right of way in accordance to the high way code. He couldn’t wait 30 seconds while we ensured our passenger was safely in the house before he started his campaign of abuse. I did nothing wrong.
I can’t believe that I have to deal with getting assaulted while trying to be a hard working mum providing for my family. Some people are disgusting.

Kingsland primary 7s have finished up today, we held their final party at the Burgh Hall. We’d like to do a huge shout out to Sully's Fish and Chips Pizzeria for providing the kids with the most delicious food for free!!! We decided that this incredible guesture was just wonderful so we thought we’d donate £200 to Peeblesshire Foodbank as a way of us gifting kindness forward. Thank you Sullys! You guys are amazing 😻

So. I’ve taken a couple of days to process this. I’m appalled and disgusted by this amount of profiteering they are gaining from us the taxi drivers and you the customers.
This rise is something I can’t just suck up. What with the fuel prices up and the licensing for us up an extra 20% (thanks Scottish Borders Council)
So, I’d like to give you guys a choice.
Pay an extra £2.50 on your airport drop off and pick up price.. or I can drop you off at the free drop off but you’d have to walk the last bit.
Sorry. It’s just awful what they are doing.
