We would both like to say a huge thank you to everyone for your lovely comments and the wonderful memories you’ve shared on our last post. Reading them has meant so much to us.

It’s been an incredible journey, and we’ll truly miss you all.

As for Jon, he’s already getting bored🤦🏻‍♀️ He’s hoping to pick up a shift or two at weekends with another taxi company, so don’t be surprised if you find him behind the wheel again very soon.

As for me, I’m keeping busy with plans for my baking business, Pam’s Home Bakes. If you fancy some homemade treats, please pop over to my page and see if there’s something you’d like to order.

The last 25 years have been hard work at times, but they’ve also been amazing, and we’re so grateful to everyone who has been part of our journey.

It is with very heavy hearts that we write this post today. 💔😢

After many long conversations and a lot of soul-searching, we have made the difficult decision to bring J.P. Taxis to a close.

For nearly 25 years, we’ve had the privilege of serving our community and meeting so many wonderful customers along the way. Many of you have become much more than customers—you’ve become friends, and we will always be grateful for your loyalty, kindness and support.

Unfortunately, with Jon having to limit the hours he can work due to health reasons, we’ve reached a point where we can no longer be there for all of our regular customers in the way you deserve. Rather than let people down, we’ve decided it’s the right time to step away.

Jon turns 60 this year, and it’s time for him to slow down a little and put his health first. He is hoping to pick up the occasional weekend shift with one of the local taxi companies, so if you have his private number, he’ll keep you updated if he’s out and about.

As for me, this gives me the opportunity to put my heart and soul into growing my baking business without the worry of trying to juggle both businesses.

This truly is the end of an era for us, and it’s a very emotional decision. While we’re incredibly sad to be closing this chapter, we know it’s the right one for us.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Thank you for choosing us, supporting us, recommending us, sharing stories and laughs with us, and for the friendships we’ve made over the past 25 years. We will cherish those memories forever.

We will be eternally grateful for every single one of you.

We would like to apologise to everyone who has rang us over the last 48hrs.
There is a fault with the new system we have. Our phone is now done through broadband and we have an issue with the handset connecting to the internet and keeps disconnecting. We are now running through a diversion that BT has put in place to Pam’s mobile so we are now able to accept calls again.
We have missed a lot of calls and are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience.

Sorry guys for having to do one of these posts again🤦‍♀️
It has come to our attention again that a local taxi driver is telling people that we are closing down. Please don’t take any notice of these viscous rumours. He must be getting very bored or not as busy as he used to be.
Jon has recently renewed his taxi badge for another 3 years so he’s not going to retire just yet.
When we do decide to close we will inform all our regular customers and also post on social media.
Please keep showing your support and ignore the idiot that’s spreading these rumours. Some people just enjoy causing misery for others.
