👋 Loneliness Awareness Week | 15–21 June 2026
Loneliness is a natural human emotion that can affect anyone at any stage of life but many people still feel unable to talk openly about it.
This Loneliness Awareness Week, we want to help reduce the stigma around loneliness and recognise the impact it can have on both mental and physical wellbeing.
Feelings of loneliness can affect:
🧠 Mental health and confidence
💬 Communication and social connection
🏥 Physical health and wellbeing
🌍 People of all ages and backgrounds
At Healthwatch Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, we regularly hear from people who feel isolated, unheard or disconnected while navigating health and social care services.
By encouraging open conversations and stronger community connections, we can help people feel more supported and less alone. If you have any experience of accessing health care or social care services in Cambridgeshire or Peterborough please have your say: https://ow.ly/Q0hk50Z9Mg3
