😅 The calm before moving day…

Tomorrow we’re heading out for a short move in Plymouth, moving a customer from their house into storage. 🏠➡️📦

Short distance or long distance, moving day still means plenty to organise, lift and load! 🚚💪

We’ll get everything safely packed onto the van and into storage, ready for the next step in their move.

Big move, small move or somewhere in between — L & J Home are here to help! 🏠

🚚 The van is ready to go!

🏠 Not every house move happens in one day!

Tomorrow we’re helping a customer with the first part of their move — a smaller move taking the essentials from their home into temporary accommodation. 📦🚚

Then next week, we’ll be back to complete the main move, taking the rest of their belongings into storage.

Sometimes moving house means doing things in stages, and we’re happy to work around what suits our customers best.

One move, two days, and we’ll be there to help every step of the way! 💪

This week's Moving Myth was: "You have to move straight from your old home into your new one."

Here's proof that every move is different!

Just last week, we helped two different customers move from storage into their new homes.

🏡 One customer had been waiting to complete on their property, so their belongings were safely stored until they finally got the keys.

🔨 The other customer had already bought their new home but wanted to wait until renovation work was finished before moving everything in.

Sometimes moving dates don't line up perfectly, and that's completely normal. Whether you're waiting for completion, carrying out renovations, or simply need a little more flexibility, storing your belongings before moving into your new home can be the ideal solution.

At L & J Home, we're here to make the process as smooth as possible, whether you're moving straight into your new home or taking the journey in stages.

Have a move coming up? We'd be happy to help. 🚚🏡

🏡 Moving Myth: "You have to move straight from your old home into your new one."

❌ Myth

✅ Reality: Not every move goes directly from A to B.

It's becoming more common for moving dates not to line up perfectly. You might be waiting to complete on your new home, carrying out renovations before moving in, or simply need a little more flexibility.

That's where storage can make all the difference.

At L & J Home, we regularly help customers move their belongings into storage before delivering everything to their new home when the time is right. We can also collect your belongings from storage and move them into your new property, making the whole process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Every move is different, so we tailor our service to suit your circumstances. Whether you're moving straight into your new home or your belongings need to spend some time in storage first, we're here to help every step of the way.

🏡 Things to Think About When Moving House – Day 9

👧🐶 Think about children and pets!

Moving day can be busy, noisy and a little overwhelming, so it’s worth thinking about how to keep children and pets safe and comfortable.

If possible, arrange for younger children or pets to stay with family or friends for the day. This can help keep them out of the way while boxes and furniture are being moved.

For pets especially, keeping them somewhere secure and quiet can help make the day less stressful for everyone. 🐾

Have a move coming up? We'd be happy to help. 🚚🏡
