Close your fingers over your thumb
It may look small—but it can mean everything.

How to Respond if You See the Signal
If you see someone use this gesture:
1 Check in safely: Contact the person by another method (text, email, or social media) to ask what they need.
2 Avoid direct confrontation: Do not put yourself in danger or make the situation worse.
3 Offer support: Offer to help them find resources or connect them with services, or contact authorities if you believe they are in immediate danger.
