Situated on a hillside overlooking Eynhallow Sound, the Knowe of Yarso is one of 15 chambered cairns on the island. Excavations in 1934 uncovered the remains of 29 people and 36 red deer in the 5000-year-old tomb. A fascinating site to explore if you’re planning a visit to Rousay during your trip to Orkney.
