🚌 PLEASE HELP SUPPORT THE UK COACH INDUSTRY 🚌

The coach industry is facing an extremely difficult time, and we need your help to make sure our voices are heard.

Since the start of the year, the price we pay for diesel has increased by approximately 55%. For coach operators, fuel is one of our biggest operating costs, and absorbing an increase of this scale is becoming increasingly difficult.

The challenge is made even greater by the nature of our industry. A large proportion of coach work is booked months in advance, meaning the prices agreed with customers often do not reflect the huge increase in operating costs we are now facing.

We fully understand that rising costs are affecting many industries, but once again, it feels as though the coach industry is being overlooked.

Support has been offered to other areas of road transport, including bus operators and the haulage sector, yet there continues to be little or no specific recognition of the unique challenges faced by coach operators.

Coaches play a vital role across the UK — transporting school children, university students, sporting teams, tourists, holidaymakers, businesses and community groups. We are an essential part of the country's transport network, but we need to be recognised and supported as an industry in our own right.

📢 WE ARE ASKING FOR YOUR HELP

Please consider contacting your local MP and highlighting the difficulties currently facing the coach industry.

Ask them to:

Recognise the importance of the UK coach industry.
Understand the significant impact of rising fuel costs on coach operators.
Raise the issue of the lack of specific support for the coach sector.
Support calls for coaches to be properly recognised when transport support measures are introduced.

The more MPs hear directly from businesses, customers and members of the public, the harder it becomes for our industry to be overlooked.

Does anyone else think our driver Steve is on holiday rather than at work? 😂

He certainly seems to be enjoying himself in the Scottish Highlands and now fancies himself as a budding photographer! 📸 He’s even managed to get up close and personal with Nessie… if anyone can spot her! 👀🦕

Steve has a day off tomorrow to play tourist, so we can’t wait to see what adventures—and photographs—that brings!

Arlo’s only made it onto ITV News 😂. This dog is something else. Who knew the last week would have went the way it has after just going to watch his favourite team play at Millwall. He’s loving all the attention! Might be looking for a PR manager for him next!
