Matt’s 230 miles in one day solo and unsupported ride is just over a week away!
Matt is a Class 1 multidrop driver on our Palletforce network operation, usually in and around York.
A highly respected member of our team, on Saturday 20th June he will be departing from Leeds at 02.30 in the morning, cycling 230 miles to get the last train back from London Kings Cross station the same day to raise money for the RHA Benevolent fund.
Matt has chosen to support the RHA Benevolent Fund because it provides practical, confidential help to people and families connected to the road transport industry when times are tough.
The Fund supports drivers and their dependents facing hardship due to illness, injury, bereavement, or financial pressure, without judgement or agenda — simply helping people get back on their feet.
Not only does Matt manage a busy work life but he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2019. Using modern continuous glucose monitoring and a closed-loop insulin delivery system, he manages his condition alongside an active and physically demanding working life.
His target is £2,500 and he’s only 40% there, if you could support please do using https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/leeds-london-solo-endurance-ride?utm_source=SFMC&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=CF_SubsequentDonation&mi_u=11550526&mi_ecmp=CF_SubsequentDonation
