Service Notice: Temporary Morning Disruptions on 19 August and 29 September 2026:

Please be aware that A Cabs Isle of Wight will operate on a reduced service for two hours during the mornings of Wednesday 19 August and Tuesday 29 September 2026.This temporary disruption is due to mandatory training.
Along with all other local taxi companies and drivers, our team must attend a compulsory course covering updated safeguarding practices and renewed industry policies.
This requirement is strictly mandated by the council and is completely beyond our control. While we explored alternative scheduling options to minimize user disruption, the council requires all drivers to attend 1 of 2 of these dates during these specific hours.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to your morning travel plans. If you have any feedback or objections regarding the timing of these mandatory meetings, please direct them to the local council. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

⚠️ URGENT TRAVEL NOTICE: SIGNIFICANT DELAYS EXPECTED ⚠️
Attention all A Cabs Isle of Wight Limited Customers,

Please be advised that we are currently anticipating significant traffic delays across our network for the next 48 hours.

As shown in the recent traffic data, multiple road closures and heavy congestion are impacting key routes, particularly around Shanklin, Lake, and the surrounding areas.

📉 What this means for your journey:
Allow Extra Time: Please book your taxis much earlier than usual. We recommend adding at least 20–30 minutes of buffer time for time-sensitive travel (such as ferry or train connections).

Potential Fare Increases: Because our vehicles may be caught in stationary or slow-moving traffic, metered fares may be higher than standard estimates.

Service Impact: Dispatch times may be longer as our drivers navigate these bottlenecks.

Nearly 2750 miles completed in 3 vehicles, at least 170 jobs all completed by 4 drivers since Friday morning. That brings a very tiring but incredible weekend to a close. I would like to thank our drivers for their time keeping and constant communication. And lastly a huge thank you to over 500 passengers who have travelled with us this weekend everything went smoothly. See you next year
