One of our most productive weeks to date!
In just 5 days we have managed to
✅ Complete 24+ jobs (with only 2 of them having to be subcontracted)
🚛 travel over 3,600+ miles

Here are just some of the standout vehicles we have recently had the privilege of transporting. While we take the utmost care with every vehicle entrusted to us, working with the older generation of vehicles it always brings an added sense of responsibility as these vehicles hold not just large monetary value but also great sentimental value.

- Ecoboost Fiesta that suffered Engine failure • from Llandrindod to a repairing garage in Llyswen

Name Change Announcement

JLA Recovery will soon be changing its name to “J Arnold Transport.”
This won’t impact any of our customers but we just wanted to explain the reason behind the new name anyway to save any confusion.
In short, we’re changing it to better reflect the work we actually do day in day out and for us to be able to progress further
WE STILL OFFER VEHICLE RECOVERY and we are still using the same number we have always had

There are a few key reasons for this change:

1. Over the past few years we have built a fantastic & loyal customer base including many local car sales companies & garages all thanks to their continued support our diary is consistently full, often booked up 4/5 days in advance which we’re extremely grateful for but as you can imagine when we get calls to attend urgent breakdowns we’re rarely able to assist as our days are pre-planned in advance and we’re usually miles away from home. It’s never a nice feeling to tell someone we can’t help. However we always do our best to still assist if we are able to or will point customers toward the most suitable alternative company for their situation
In summary The name change will help customers quickly determine that we may not be able to assist urgently.

2. The real main reason for doing it now is we will be applying for our operators licence shortly so thought it would be beneficial to change our name now rather than having to do it after obtaining one.

3. Many vehicle transport platforms and car sales companies won’t accept company names that include the word “Recovery” as when delivering brand new or sold vehicles to a customer’s home. It gives the impression that the vehicle has broken down, which is misleading and can cause unnecessary concern.

On a side note
As many of you will have seen in a recent post, we’ve officially moved into our new premises and it’s starting to take shape! So far we have managed to collect and install a 2 & a 4 post ramp. As well as Various other workshop tools have been sourced I.e tyre machine, balancer, compressor, work benches, press etc etc
As well as a huge new office is in the final stages of being built which will be our operating centre for our operator’s licence. This will allow us to transport multiple vehicles at a time using a HGV and trailer ultimately saving our customers money and allowing us to optimise our workload.
I’ll share a few more photos our premises when it is a bit closer to completion as we are very proud of how far it’s come in just a matter of months.

I have a trade plate driver up in Falkirk after going to collect a van for a customer and they decided not to buy it as it wasn’t as described
