Biosolids Area Sales Manager – Sussex
Austin Contract Services is seeking to recruit an experienced and motivated Biosolids Area Sales Manager to join our team covering East and West Sussex.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong agricultural background who enjoys building long-term customer relationships and managing operational activities within a progressive and environmentally focused business.
About the Role
As Biosolids Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our farming customers across Sussex, helping to deliver sustainable nutrient recycling solutions through the beneficial use of biosolids.
Key responsibilities include:
• Building, maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing and prospective farmer customers.
• Securing approximately 4,500 hectares of suitable agricultural land each year across Sussex for biosolids applications.
• Managing and supporting the Sussex biosolids operations team to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Completing and overseeing all required compliance, operational and regulatory documentation.
• Working closely with farmers and stakeholders to ensure the successful planning and delivery of biosolids recycling programmes.
About You
The successful candidate will:
• Have a solid farming or agricultural background.
• Hold a current FACTS qualification.
• Reside within East or West Sussex.
• Possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Be self-motivated, organised and capable of managing multiple priorities.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to compliance and safety standards.
• Have experience leading or supervising operational teams (preferred).
