🚖 J2B Taxi – A Moment of Perspective 🚖

Currently on a wait & return in Lincoln, so I decided to get a few steps in around the cemetery near the Lincoln Private Hospital.

Walking amongst the gravestones has a way of bringing things into focus. Every stone tells a story. Every name represents a life lived, lessons learned, memories made and people loved.

One phrase I’ve heard before in an eulogy has always stuck with me:

“Your life is made up of two dates and a dash.”

📅 Date of Birth — The Dash — Date of Death 📅

It’s that little dash in the middle that represents everything. Every laugh, every achievement, every challenge, every friendship, every family holiday, every football match, every early morning, every late night and every memory.

The dates are fixed, but the dash is what we make of it.

A good reminder not to put things off, to make time for the people who matter, take risks, push yourself and to appreciate the journey while we’re on it.

Anyway, enough philosophy… back to the day job shortly! 🚶🚖🏥😊

🚢 Back on cruise duties again this morning! ⚓️🫡

An early start to get to Liverpool to collect a customer from the Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, Bolette. Not quite the glamorous cruise weather today… grey, gloomy and a bit dreary, albeit the roads were kind to us! 🙏☁️🚖

The early start was made a little easier after a great evening catching up with the lads from Sleaford Town Rangers Veterans FC at our end-of-season presentation night. ⚽🏆
