It’s always best practice to pre-book your taxis, especially this weekend as looking at the bookings - Saturday night we have three large weddings we are working as well as six airports between Friday and Sunday.

Stay safe this bank holiday weekend!

We’ve seen an increase in unlicensed taxis unfortunately in the area as of late. These vehicles are not insured for private hire, the drivers not DBS checked and you really have no idea just who you getting in the car with.

Make sure when you are out -

You either pre-book or you take a licensed taxi home.

To spot a licensed taxi it’s easy, they will have a Hackney Plate on the rear of there car, a top light sign, and two stickers inside the vehicle and the driver will have ID all with ELDC on them.

If you prebook, most drivers will call or text and direct you to them.

Not all Hackneys & Private hire vehicles are sign written, but they will have an East Lindsey District plate on the rear.

It doesn’t have to be a Central Cars vehicle (although I would say it should be 🤣) just make sure you stay safe, especially when it comes to getting home late in the evenings.
