Driverless buses?!

Our chair, Bill, and Kevin Woods were invited to Milton Keynes to enjoy an exciting driverless bus experience yesterday!

In Bill's words, it was a "fantastic, reassuringly boring (safe!) experience".

How do you feel about driverless vehicles? Would you be interested in seeing them in Weardale in the future?

📣 New ELECTRIC Wheelchair Accessible Community Transport vehicle!!! 📣

Look what got delivered to The Hub today! It feels like Christmas morning 🤩

It's part of an innovative project to connect people with transport to towns and villages.

It can seat up to 9 people, or it can fit up to 3 wheelchairs, or a combination of both.

Keep your eye out for the vehicle, and for further information!

(Note: it can't be booked out as a part of the Eco Car Club yet, but never say never...)

Our Trip Club members had a lovely day out at Raby Castle and Gardens last week, and we’ve had some fantastic feedback about the trip!

It sounds like everyone had such a great time that we might just have to put another visit on the calendar in the future.

Would you like to join us next time we visit Raby Castle? Or perhaps come along on one of our other Trip Club outings?

Get in touch to find out more about becoming a member and joining us on our next trip!

✨ Our buses have had a makeover! ✨

We’ve been hard at work here at Weardale Community Transport, and our entire fleet of community buses has now been scrubbed, cleaned and given a fresh coat of paint, and we think they’re looking fantastic.

If you're part of a community group, school or care home in Weardale, and you’re looking for affordable transport, why not get in touch to discuss hiring one of our sparkling-clean minibuses?

Our buses can be hired:

🚐 Self-drive – if you have someone with the appropriate D1 licence to drive.

🧑‍✈️ With a driver – we can provide a driver for your journey.

Whether it’s a day out, an activity, an event, or simply getting your group from A to B, we’d be happy to have a chat about how we can help.

Get in touch with the Weardale Hub on 01388 528 777 or send us a message.

We look forward to hearing from you!
