Are you mad enough to take on the beast?

The ‘Beast of Durham’ bike ride returns for 2025.

On Saturday 21st June 2025, the ride will set off at 9am from Beamish Park Hotel, and take on a 60 mile route with 6,400ft of ascent along the way making this ride quite the challenge.

Entry is £55 per person and includes a pub lunch/buffet around the half way point.
There will also be a support vehicle with bike trailer which will also be carrying water and various snacks and supplies for those that need a top up or mechanical support.

In just 9 days our team of cyclists from Stanley Taxis, Stanley Travel and Stanley Coaches will set off from Siloth cycling to Tynemouth via Kielder!

They are cycling 225km over 3 days and climbing almost 2500 meters of hillls (that’s 2.5km up)

And all this in aid of Heel & Toe Children's Charity a fantastic local charity based in Pelton and Ouston who provide therapy for disabled children from across the North East!

The lads did great today on the Coast and Castles North, cycling from Aberdeen to Montrose in a beat the rain speed challenge! 🚲 💨 ⛈️

Good Luck to the team of cyclists from Stanley Travel , Stanley Taxis , Stanley Coaches and Durham City Taxis who are yet again swapping horse power for peddle power, and cycling from Edinburgh to Aberdeen on the Coast and Castles North route.
They will set off on Monday 19th August 2024 from Aberdeen, via Montrose, & St Andrews before arriving in Edinburgh on Wednesday 21st August.
In total they will have cycled over 275 km and climbed over 9364 feet of hills!

The Stanley Travel family are deeply saddened to announce Ann Scott passed away peacefully in St. Andrews care home earlier today aged 80 years following a degenerative illness.
Devoted and much loved wife to Robert. Dearly loved mother to Ian and Andrew, grandmother and great grandmother.
Ann was instrumental in establishing Stanley Travel in 1961 along with Robert.
You will be sorely missed, and forever in our hearts. You may not be here in person, but your legacy lives on.
