✈️ A LITTLE UPDATE FROM US ❤️
Meir Park Travels - Your Local Airport Transfer Specialists
We just wanted to give all of our lovely customers, previous and new, a quick heads-up about a small change to our airport transfer prices.
All new bookings made from 1st October 2026, there will be an increase of £5 each way on our current fares.
We’ve genuinely tried to keep our prices as low as possible for as long as we can, but the cost of providing our service has continued to increase. 🚗⛽
💷 What goes into the price of an airport transfer?
Our fares are not simply based on the distance travelled. There are a number of costs and factors we have to take into account when working out a fair price for each journey, including:
👨👩👧👦 Number of passengers — the number of people travelling can determine the vehicle required.
🚐 Size of vehicle needed — larger groups and additional luggage may require a larger vehicle.
🔄 Some journeys may involve multiple address pick-ups and drop-offs.
🅿️ Airport drop-off & pick-up fees — these have increased from around £5 to approximately £8 on average. ( East Midlands have announced their increase today )
📋 Licensing & compliance costs — including licensing, MOT and other vehicle-related requirements.
🔧 Vehicle wear & tear — tyres, servicing, maintenance and repairs.
💼 Business running costs — insurance, administration, booking systems, accounting, advertising and the many other costs involved in running a professional airport transfer service.
⛽ Fuel — not too long ago we were paying around £1.65 per litre for diesel. It is now almost £2 per litre.
All these mentioned factors are what makes up the price of your airport transfer.

❤️ When you look at the increases in the costs we're facing, we believe this is a very modest increase, and one that will allow us to continue providing the high level of service our customers have come to expect from us.
And, importantly:
🤝 If our operating costs come back down in the future, we will review our prices accordingly.
We believe in keeping things fair and passing savings on to our customers whenever we're able to.
