As part of our truck show season team spotlight, we're showcasing James Hay.

Having completed his first full year on the truck show circuit, James is looking forward to another season of meeting fellow enthusiasts, admiring the incredible vehicles on display and spending time with the team at events across the country.

One thing James quickly learned is that no two truck shows are ever the same. His standout memory so far involved some challenging weather conditions when high winds took down the team's gazebo, requiring everyone to pull together and find a solution.

When he's not attending truck shows, you might find James out on his motorcycle making the most of the sunshine.

If you see James at any of this year's events, be sure to stop and say hello.

A fantastic start to the truck show season for our team at TruckFest South.
After plenty of hard work preparing the vehicles, the team came away with their best results ever:

🏆 1st Place – Multicar (Classic Category)
👏 Highly Commended – T6 NEN
👏 Highly Commended – T5 NEN

We're incredibly proud of Chris, Andy, James and everyone who helped get the vehicles ready for the show.

It was also great to welcome colleagues, friends and family to the event across the weekend and celebrate the success together.

Congratulations to the whole team. A brilliant result and a fantastic way to begin the season.

We are up for an award!

We are finalists for the Motor Transport Low Carbon Award!

The knowledge and experience we have gained through our efforts to minimise carbon has been nothing short of a success.

Over the past year we have:
- Made progress in replacing a large amount of diesel with renewable fuel.
- Used 100% green electricity at all of our owned sites.
- Switched from using 40% bioLPG blend to 100% bioLPG at Ashby, Boston, Swindon and Sharpness sites for operating MHE!

Andy has been part of the truck show scene for around 25 years and is a familiar face at events across the country.

This year he's especially looking forward to seeing the restored Morris back on the show circuit after all the hard work that's gone into bringing it back to its best.

Our Mid-Year Business Reviews have been taking place across the business, giving colleagues the chance to hear directly from our directors on key updates and future plans.

The sessions have also included a closer look at each site's SWOT analysis, helping teams share ideas, identify opportunities and discuss how we can continue to improve.

It's been a valuable opportunity to reflect on how far we've come this year while looking ahead to what's next.

We look forward to the final sessions taking place soon.

A huge congratulations to Jesus Travaglini on achieving Chartered IT Professional (CITP) status.

This is a fantastic accomplishment and a fantastic example of the skills Jesus brings to his role as our Integration & BI Lead.

Paul Dickinson - Supervisor
Paul has shown excellent commitment and resilience by supporting the operation and ensuring customer service is maintained to the highest level.

Blazej Ambrysewski - Warehouse Operative
Blazej has demonstrated the HT values again and again by supporting his peers on their respective accounts through a particularly busy time. He has been adaptable and reacted well to evolving objectives.

Darren Pressland - Class 1 HGV Driver
Darren has gone out of his way to offer his help this past week. He has helped assist with repairing buckles and chains on trailers, to helping drivers with logging onto the new system, where they can complete their training. He is a real asset to the team at Melton.

Mantas Skablauskas - Supervisor
Huge congratulations to Mantas on an outstanding 12 months, progressing from warehouse operative to supervisor. He’s developed rapidly and has gone above and beyond during this time. He continues to support the team and is always eager to learn and take on more.

Chris Po***ck - Driver (Cat C+E)
With a contract moving from Ashby to Swindon, Chris spent time shadowing both the Ashby and Swindon drivers to ensure a smooth transition, sharing knowledge and supporting the successful go-live.

Dawn Chadwick - Administrator
Dawn has consistently driven improvement in her role, supporting both her team and the wider operation. Her proactive approach and flexibility have ensured smooth day-to-day delivery and set a strong example for others.

Pete Brown - Team Manager
Pete has transitioned from an agency night worker to a full-time team leader, quickly establishing himself as an integral team member demonstrating a strong work ethic. Pete should be commended for his teamwork, resilience, and proactive approach, which has a positive impact on his overall performance.

Liam Simpkins - Commercial Executive
Liam's impact to HT has been huge. Since joining, he has learnt very quickly as well as continuously supported both his immediate team and our operational team. He now engages directly with our customers, including recently attending a customer's supplier's trade show. He is a brilliant addition to our company.

Craig Hutchins - Warehouse Operative
Craig has shown great support to his colleagues. He regularly exceeds expectations to support the operation and help ensure we continue to deliver great service to our customers. He remains connected, resilient, and dependable even during busy periods. Well done, Craig, keep up the good work.

Garry has shown strong resilience across general account contracts, consistently supporting the team, particularly with loading vehicles for the recent contract onboarding. He has also demonstrated excellent teamwork by helping train colleagues on MHE equipment and the RDT system, making a positive impact across the operation.
