Job description:
Overview - We are urgently recruiting energetic and experienced HGV1 Drivers to join our dynamic transportation team. Recently Qualified drivers also considered
In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a variety of trailers (Mainly Curtain Side)to deliver goods efficiently and reliably.. This position is a Tramping position If you have a passion for driving and a commitment to safety, this is the perfect opportunity to advance your career while maintaining work-life balance.
Experienced Driver preferred but full training will be given to new drivers.
Take home pay £808per week.
Duties:
- Safely operate Class 1 and 2 vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify mechanical issues and ensure roadworthiness
- Follow designated routes for delivery and shuttle driving, maintaining punctuality and efficiency throughout each shift
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and pickups
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery documentation
Requirements:
- Valid HGV1 (Class 1) license with proven commercial driving experience
- Experience in shuttle driving, route driving, or freight delivery within a commercial vehicle environment
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy trucks and trailers to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance checks
- Strong communication skills for clear interaction with team members and clients
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to general Haulage.

We are looking for Staff to assist in our courier delivery service for the run up to the Christmas Season. You will be supporting our team of dedicated couriers in the Gateshead, Sunderland and Newcastle areas.
Van, insurance and Fuel provided in addition to full training.
Christmas Seasonal Working Opportunity Courier Drivers..

Starting in second half of October up until Christmas with the potential of additional working opportunities into January 2027.
Hours starting from 9 am. 5 to 7 days per week.
Pay will be between £110 to £120 per day depending on route.
Full driving manual license required.
