🔧💙 NEW HEADQUARTERS & WORKSHOP UPDATE | DAYS 5 💙🔧

Another busy day at the new home of Grab-A-Cab Taunton Ltd, and things are really starting to take shape!

Saturday been a real team effort, with plenty going on as we continue building our new office and getting the workshop ready.

Here’s what we’ve been up to:

✅ Finished the wall across the office, and most of the roofing.

✅ Office Window Fitted.

✅ Filled and sanded most of the walls getting them ready for paint.

✅ Continued working on the office structure and preparing for the next stage.

A massive thank you to Liam, Shauna and Bob for all their help today. We really appreciate it! 👏❤️

😂 And a little confession about our latest update poster…

We asked AI to help us put the poster together, and apparently it’s decided to become a builder as well! It added a window where there wasn’t one! 🤦‍♂️🤣

We’ve had a word with the digital building inspector and told it to stick to the photographs this time! 😂🔨

📅 Next up: Finishing the roof, getting more of the inside ready for paint, and hopefully getting the flooring down on Monday.

🎁 COMING SOON: GRAND OPENING GIVEAWAYS!

To celebrate the opening of our new headquarters and workshop, we’ll be running some giveaways, so make sure you’ve liked and followed our page to keep up with the progress and be in with a chance of joining in!

Thanks for all your support and patience while we juggle the building work with keeping our taxi service running.

🔧 NEW HEADQUARTERS & WORKSHOP UPDATE | DAYS 3 & 4 🔧

It’s been another busy couple of days at the new home of Grab-A-Cab Taunton Ltd! 💙🚖

Wednesday and Thursday have been a real team effort, with everyone mucking in to keep things moving forward. We had some late deliveries today, which meant a slightly later start, but we still managed to get plenty done!

✅ The first office wall is up, ready for the roof to go on.

✅ The floor has been sealed, ready for the self-levelling flooring on Monday.

✅ Half the walls have been filled and sanded, bringing us another step closer to getting everything ready for paint.

It’s starting to take shape now, and we’re getting closer to having our very own purpose-built office and in-house workshop! 🛠️🏢

Even had the office Pooch watching work today to ensure its dog safe.

🔨 NEXT UP: DAY 5

Our plans for the next stage are to:
🔹 Board both sides of the office walls.
🔹 Get the roof fitted.
🔹 Finish preparing the inside walls ready for painting.

There’s still plenty to do, and we’re sure there’ll be a few more long days ahead, but every little bit of progress gets us closer to the finish line!

A massive thank you to everyone who’s been helping us, supporting us, and following our journey. ❤️

Please bear with us while we continue building our new headquarters alongside keeping our day-to-day taxi service running. We really appreciate your patience and support!

🚕💙 GRAB-A-CAB TAUNTON | NEW UNIT UPDATE – DAY 2 COMPLETE! 💙🚕

Another busy day at our new home, and we’re making some serious progress! 🛠️

Today we’ve:

📦 Moved another 3 loads of office and building materials into the new unit.

💻 Reduced our current office down to the essentials so we can keep the day-to-day operation running while the move continues.

🧹 Prepared and sealed the workshop floor with polyurethane garage floor paint, giving us a safe, clean and professional surface ready for the next stage.

The floor now has 24 hours of curing time, which means we’re back at it on Tuesday for Day 3, when our workshop ramp arrives! 🚗🔧

Then Thursday brings the delivery of our building materials, with Friday and the weekend looking like a very busy few days as we start building our new office and workshop. 🏗️

And that’s not all… we’ve got plenty more deliveries arriving throughout the week, including workshop equipment and office furniture. 📦🪑🔧

🏢🚕 WE’RE BUILDING OUR NEW HOME!

There’s still a fair way to go, but seeing the workshop floor finished today really makes it feel like this is starting to become Grab-A-Cab’s new home. 💙

We’d like to thank all our customers for bearing with us while we carry out this work. There may be a little disruption along the way, but we’re doing everything we can to keep the business running and our customers moving.

We would also like to give a big thanks to Chris, Shauna and Liam for their help today.
Hugely appreciated - Teamwork makes the Dreamwork.

🔵 GRAB-A-CAB TAUNTON HQ MOVE | DAY 1 🔵

And we’re off! 🚕🔧

Day 1 of the big move into our new Grab-A-Cab Taunton headquarters is officially underway!

Today has been all about getting things moving, with over a third of the equipment and belongings from our current office already transferred across to the new unit.

And because we apparently don’t believe in taking things easy… 😂

Once the first load was moved, we went straight into preparing the workshop floor, getting a coat of floor sealer down ready for the next stage.

Tomorrow, it’s time for the polyurethane floor protection to go down, which will give us a hard-wearing, practical workshop floor ready for the vehicles, equipment and plenty of Grab-A-Cab action! 🚖🔧

There’s still a LOT to do before we’re completely moved in and operational, but it’s fantastic to finally see the new headquarters starting to take shape.

A huge thank you to everyone who’s helping us make this happen, and to all our customers for bearing with us while we carry out the move and get everything set up.

We’re building something we’re really proud of here, and we can’t wait to show you the finished result.

Day 1: DONE ✅
Day 2: LET’S GO! 💪

A call came in from some distressed parents who had broken down at Taunton Services. Their recovery company couldn’t get to them until tomorrow, so they gave us a call.

Ninety minutes after that first phone call, they were safely back home in Bude.

Sometimes, being a taxi service is about much more than getting people from A to B. It’s about being there when people need a helping hand, especially when they’re stranded miles from home.

After dropping them off safely, we treated ourselves to a quick ice cream… and just 15 minutes later, we were rewarded with this incredible sunset. 🌅🍦

Days like these remind us why we love what we do. Helping people, making a difference, and getting them home safely. Thank you to everyone who trusts us when it matters most. ❤️
