We've been quiet for a while, with good reasons we hope. We've been working on updates which are now live and updated our website, hopefully making it easier to find us

More importantly we feel, we've been working and connecting with local firms as well as speaking to our MP and council. We're looking for innovative ways to encourage drivers to join the industry. It's a real pain point, we've heard it everywhere from customers, businesses and taxi companies.

We believe it's causing public safety as well as an economic problem, that global apps don't care about. We do, we care about Cumbria, we care about the industry and we feel we'll only progress by challenging some of the root causes of why. Starting one conversation, one meeting at a time.

This is the notification we've been nervous about, we knew it was coming. This is a multi-billion £££ global business, a market disrupter and slow death to all local taxi firms.

Do you think they care about Cumberland??? Look at their first offer - 50% off all rides, great for customers, bad for drivers.

Fares controlled by an AI computer somewhere, demand based pricing, so it's more expensive when it's busier or when you need it most. You never get the same price twice

The only way to compete here is to unify, be the local alternative, that supports local, connects local and keeps money local. Every £ spent with Uber disappears out of Cumbria.

This isn't about advertising our app, it's a call to local transport providers, we can compete but we need to get with the times before it's too late

I’m going to be brutally honest. I’ve seen this before.

​Years ago, I owned a successful private hire business with a fleet of executive vehicles.

Business was good.

Then Uber arrived.

Within weeks, the market changed. The airport runs, corporate clients, and VIP work just disappeared.
