Not every Chiltern vehicle stays in the UK… 🇬🇧➡️🇪🇺

Here’s one of our trucks arriving back through the Eurotunnel after completing work in Europe.

Whilst we’re best known for our UK temperature controlled distribution network, we also support customers with European transport services, imports, exports and cross border logistics.

Whether it’s a single load or a long term transport solution, we’re always happy to help.

Safe travels to all our drivers out on the road this week. 👏🚛

📸 One week in and our first Sunswap trailer is already proving itself on the road.

Our latest trailer has now completed its first full week of operation within our temperature controlled network.

We’ve spent a lot of time evaluating new technology before making the investment and we’re excited to see this innovative solution performing in a real world logistics environment.

For us, sustainability isn’t about following trends. It’s about investing in practical solutions that improve efficiency, reduce emissions and continue to deliver the high standards our customers expect.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this project a reality.

Sustainable logistics in action ☀️🔋

Today our new Sunswap solar and battery powered refrigerated trailer is hard at work, delivering temperature controlled products across the UK.

This innovative technology removes the need for a traditional diesel refrigeration engine, helping reduce carbon emissions, noise and fuel consumption while maintaining the high standards our customers expect.

Combined with our latest Volvo FH Aero tractor units, this investment forms part of our ongoing commitment to building a cleaner, more efficient transport operation for the future.

For customers looking to reduce the environmental impact of their supply chain without compromising on service, reliability or product integrity, we are proud to offer practical solutions that make a real difference.

This is the first of the Sunswap trailers joining the Chiltern fleet this year.

The boss has been busy making a special collection today…

After giving the truck a clean this morning, it was time to collect something we are very excited about at Chiltern Distribution Ltd, our first brand new Sunswap battery and solar powered refrigerated SOR trailer.

Innovation and sustainability are becoming an important part of the future of temperature controlled logistics and we are proud to be investing in equipment that helps reduce emissions without compromising service standards.

At Chiltern Distribution Ltd, we believe it is important to help inspire the next generation and give young people an insight into the transport and logistics industry.

Today we welcomed Zach to Chiltern for his work experience day. The day started in the finance office alongside Toni, our Financial Controller… or as Zach would probably say, Mum 😊

Throughout the day, Zach spent time with different departments across the business, seeing how everything comes together behind the scenes to keep the operation moving. From the office to the yard and out on site, we hope he enjoyed getting a real insight into the fast paced world of temperature controlled logistics.

A big thank you to everyone who took the time to show Zach around and share their knowledge and experience throughout the day.

Who knows, we may have a future Chiltern team member in the making 🚛
