📢 Με τροπολογία του Κλιματικού Νόμου (παρ. 7 του άρθρου 16 του Ν. 4936/202), το ΥΠΕΝ προχωρά σε παράταση της προθεσμίας για τους Δήμους για την κατάρτιση των Δημοτικών Σχεδίων Μείωσης Εκπομπών (ΔηΣΜΕ), από 1η Ιανουαρίου 2024 σε 1η Ιανουαρίου 2025.

Σύμφωνα με την Νομοθεσία η υλοποίηση του ΔηΣΜΕ αποτελεί βασική προϋπόθεση για την συμπερίληψη των Δήμων σε χρηματοδοτικά εργαλεία που αφορούν στον τομέα της εξοικονόμησης ενέργειας και της κλιματικής αλλαγής. 💡🌱

The Commission welcomes the political agreement reached between the European Parliament and the Council on a proposal made by the Commission in 2021 on the revision of the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Directive. The revised law will make high-quality and timely data available for services such as multimodal journey planners and navigation services. A smarter and interoperable transport system will allow the more effective management of traffic and mobility across transport modes, enabling users to better combine the most sustainable modes of transport.

Paris recently introduced its first zero-carbon neighbourhood, Îlot Fertile, in the 19th arrondissement. The neighbourhood includes four buildings with residential units, hotels, shops, offices, and sports facilities, but notably no parking spaces. Built on a former industrial site of 1.3 hectares, the small area demonstrates the potential for creating functional and sustainable urban spaces.

Bus Éireann, the Irish state-owned bus and coach operator, has announced plans to roll-out 20 new double-deck electric vehicles in 2023 in its Limerick city fleet. This will contribute to its commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030. In 2022, the company delivered 470,000 emission-free kilometres, which it plans to increase to 1 million km in 2023.

The Commission welcomes the political agreement on the ReFuelEU Aviation proposal, reached between the European Parliament and the Council. Once in place, the new rules will help decarbonise the aviation sector by requiring fuel suppliers to blend sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) with kerosene in increasing amounts from 2025.
