Here one day, gone the next. We worked hard, covered area but it was tough out there yesterday releasing 3 sailfish from 7 bites and missed a couple of mahi. Still a fun trip with an awesome crew! 2 x days = 12 from 19 on sailfish, 1 blue and x 3 mahi. A good way to sign off our ‘summer season’…..

Our mate John Tully from NZ is as tough as nails. With a fully snapped ankle thats booked in to be fused next week, he’s fished the past 6 days with us. Yesterday he boated 4 yf tunas on the spinning gear with poppers and released 3 sailfish along with one on the fly. Great way to finish the trip!!

Last few days out of the Lodge:
Allure II on the fly rods with the Kiwi South Island crew representing the Pegasus Bay SFC we’ve raised 20 sails and a blue going 1 from 6 on sails on the fly and 4 from 9 on the bait. Had a day out wide chasing tunas as well, pulled the hook on one boatside on the popper.
Tranquility on conventional tackle with Team Port Aransas raised 17 sails and 3 blue marlin, releasing 10 sails from 16 bites and 0 from 2 on the blues.
A few mahi’s for the crews as well…..
