Rajmachi is a fort in Karjat region. There are two forts which were built by Shivaji Emperor during 17th century. It is a famous spot for trekking.
It is a 17 km trekking distance from Lonavla. Rajmachi fort is a strategic fort overlooking Borghat (ghat between Mumbai and Pune) which was a historical trade route.
Rajmachi peak has two fortified structures โ the ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ต๐ฎ๐ป ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ and ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ท๐ฎ๐ป ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐. Rajmachi can be reached by 2 ways.
๐ญ๐ฆ๐ ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐๐ฒ from Kondivide village near Karjat and other long way ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐๐ฒ from Lonavala. In rainy season this place is filled with giant waterfalls and greenery.
๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ณ๐น๐ถ๐ฒ๐ : Fireflies or lightning bugs make light within their bodies. This process is called bio-luminescence and is shared by many other organisms, mostly sea-living or marine organisms. Fireflies light up to attract a mate. To do this, the fireflies contain specialized cells in their
abdomen that make light.

You may board the same khopoli train from the station of your convenience and meet us at Karjat Station directly.
(Get into Any compartment as train may be Crowded & Missing the train means missing the trek, So be on time)

08.00pm - Travel from Karjat station to Rajmachi by Private Vehicle. On the way Experience Fireflies. (No Trekking required here).
Enjoy fireflies at the Rajmachi Jungle.
10.00pm - Reach Udhewadi village by Private Vehicle
10.30pm - Dinner at Villagers House.
We will be staying at the Villager House , So please carry Bedding Like Sleeping Bag, chaddar or blanket
Dayoff Go to Sleep or Night Walk to see more Fireflies (Optional).

5.00am - Wake up call.
5.30am - Start Climb to Explore fort to witness Mesmerizing Sunrise (optional)
People who are not interested in trekking can relax and have Fun on the Lake and visit Kalbhairavnath Temple which is nearby.
Back to Villager House for Tea Breakfast
Post Breakfast we will start our return Journey by jeep to Karjat station.
10:30am - from Karjat station catch Local Train.
12.30 pm - Reach Mumbai.
