Mutrah Souq, Oman: One of the oldest markets in the Arab world. This antiquity has perhaps increased its beauty, magic and allure. The market used to be a source of supply for Omanis where they could buy their needs in the 1960s for simpler life requirements. Mutrah Souk has narrow winding alleys roofed with wood. Among the local Omanis, this souk is called the Market of Darkness, with its myriad of alleys and roads lined by shops that block the sun during the day. This name applies to the section that extends from the Prophet's Mosque to Khawr Bimbah. The east and west parts of Mutrah Souk, separated by Khawr Bimbah, are also known as 'the small market' and 'the large market'. The Market of Darkness is the small market, whereas the large market is the wholesale market.

Sur: Traditional Dhow Building Factory

Sur is one of the most significant as well as historic sites in Arabia that is famous for building wooden boats. Dhow, in Arabic, literally translates to ‘boat. Situated to the south of the Khor Al Batah suspension bridge, this museum is steeped in rich historical significance. It is also a museum which showcases different sections, with the dignified Wilayat emblem ‘Al Ghanja Ship’ adorning the entrance. A walk through the great factory can give one a fascinating opportunity to look into how wooden boats were made in earlier times. Displaying Omani ships, along with photographs of sailors, makers of ships, ports, and of Sur itself, the Maritime Museum also holds a section for tableware and pottery.

Noh Ka Likai Waterfall

A straight plunge of over 1000 feet gives Noh Ka Likai superlative status amongst waterfalls in India. Formed from the many streams that have carved through Meghalaya’s highlands for millions of years, Noh Ka Likai has a bigger significance culturally – it bears a most tragic story that is still told today.
Likai is the protagonist of a twisted tale that concluded with her unknowingly eating her own child, murdered and cooked by the evil step-father – and in madness and rage, she jumped off the heights of the falls that were close to her village. Noh Ka Likai translates to “Where Likai Jumped”.

Kaziranga National Park: One of the most sought after wildlife holiday destinations in India, Kaziranga National park’s 430 square kilometer area sprinkled with elephant-grass meadows, swampy lagoons, and dense forests is home to more than 2200 Indian one-horned rhinoceros, approximately 2/3rd of their total world population.
In the year 1985, the park was declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The forest region of Kaziranga Park is home to world’s largest population of Indian Rhinoceros. Other animals that can be seen in the elephant grass, marshland and dense tropical moist broadleaf forests of Kaziranga are Hoolock Gibbon, Tiger, Leopard, Indian Elephant, Sloth Bear, Wild water buffalo, swamp deer, etc. With increase in tiger population every year, the government authorities declared Kaziranga as a Tiger Reserve in the year 2006.
