BN.fleet encourages discussions and implementation of the following points that are being circulated in the media;

This transformation within the industry is both necessary and overdue, as business models such as “50-50” and “24/7 car” have proven to be unsustainable and pose safety risks to both drivers and customers.

Eliminating cash transactions would eliminate the risk of theft.

Implementing facial recognition technology would enhance fleet operations and passenger safety by verifying that the driver driving the vehicle holds the appropriate and valid documentation.

We strongly encourage fleet operators to adopt this approach to ensure the industry remains secure, reputable, and worthy of the substantial investments made in the past years.

Proposal part of broader plan to overhaul sector, which will also see platforms pay massively higher yearly fees to Transport Malta
