🐐 WILDLIFE SPOTTED IN CAMERON HIGHLANDS! 🇲🇾🌿

A motorist recently spotted a Serow (Kambing Gurun) roaming in the wild along the roads of Cameron Highlands! 😍

Did you know? The serow is a wild, goat-like mammal that lives in mountainous forests across Asia, including Malaysia. Despite its goat-like appearance, it belongs to the same family as antelopes and goats.

🌿 A Little About the Serow
🐐 Scientific name: Capricornis sumatraensis
🏞️ Habitat: Mountainous forests and rocky slopes.
🍃 Diet: Leaves, grasses, and other vegetation.
🇲🇾 In Malaysia, it is known as the Malayan serow and is a protected wildlife species.

💚 How Can We Protect Them?
✅ Protect their natural forest habitats.
✅ Avoid feeding or disturbing them when spotted.
✅ Drive carefully in wildlife areas to prevent road accidents.

Sebastian & Family from Munich, Germany 🇲🇾

After exploring Borneo and travelling all around Malaysia, Sebastian and his family have finally completed their Malaysian adventure! 🌴✈️

One thing that really stood out during their trip — their love for Malaysian mangosteen! 💜

Sebastian’s wife and family absolutely LOVE mangosteen. Whenever they saw mangosteen being sold by the roadside and had the opportunity to stop, they would buy it immediately! 😄

In fact, during one of their stops, they practically bought the whole lot! 😂💜

And there’s a good reason. In Europe, mangosteen can be extremely expensive, while the quality is often nowhere near the fresh, sweet and juicy mangosteen they can enjoy here in Malaysia.

For them, this is one of the special experiences of travelling in Malaysia — discovering fresh tropical fruits that are difficult and expensive to enjoy back home. 🇲🇾❤️

Another interesting conversation we had was about EVs (electric vehicles). ⚡🚗

Sebastian currently drives an Audi and is still not completely convinced about switching to an EV. His biggest concern is range anxiety, especially while charging infrastructure is still developing.

Maybe in another five years, when the technology and infrastructure are more mature, he might finally make the switch. 😉

We also talked about EV brands — from premium European manufacturers such as Audi and Volkswagen, to Tesla, and the more affordable options from China such as BYD.

Different brands, different technologies, different price points — but for Sebastian, the key question is whether EV technology and infrastructure are mature enough for his everyday driving needs.

A big welcome to Paulo & Ronaldo from Lisbon, Portugal! 🇵🇹❤️

They’re having an amazing summer holiday in Malaysia and have already explored Kuala Lumpur, George Town, Penang, and Taman Negara — and now it’s time for the beautiful Tioman Island! 🌊🐠🌴

Traffic was quite busy along the way — not surprising because Malaysia is entering the school holiday period, together with the long weekend for Malaysia’s Independence Day 🇲🇾🎉. So, the roads are definitely getting busier with families and travellers heading out for their holidays.

But Paulo shared a great piece of advice that really stayed with us:

🌿🇲🇾 Two Months, Four Countries & One Amazing Malaysian Adventure! ✈️🌏

🌊🤿 Antoine Brothers from Tours, France 🇫🇷 — Tioman Island Adventure! 🇲🇾

Back from an amazing escape to Tioman Island, the Antonio brothers stayed at Tekek Coral Reef and enjoyed an unforgettable scuba diving experience. 🤿🐠

The visibility wasn’t at its best this time, but once they went underwater, the beauty of Tioman was still incredible! 🌊✨ So much living coral, colourful marine life, and a beautiful underwater world waiting to be discovered.

Sometimes, you don’t need perfect visibility to appreciate how special nature can be. 💙
