DANKWAMBO MEGA MOTOR PARK Under Dr. Sani Sabo

Some parts of Dankwambo Mega Motor Park have received a remarkable facelift under the leadership of Dr. Sani Sabo, PhD, Director General of Gombe State Transport Services (Gombe Line), as part of ongoing efforts to improve passenger comfort, safety, and service delivery.

1. To strengthen security within the park, a Civil Defence Outpost Station has been constructed, ensuring improved surveillance and rapid response for the safety of passengers, staff.

2. Comfortable seating facilities have been provided for passengers waiting to board, creating a more organized and passenger-friendly environment.

3. Dr. Sani Sabo has also the constructed public toilets at strategic locations across the park to enhance hygiene, convenience, and overall sanitation.

4. Furthermore, trees have been planted across the park to improve environmental comfort, provide shade, and promote a cleaner and healthier atmosphere.

Yankari Express Hosts Gombe Line DG on Operational Monitoring Visit

The General Manager of Yankari Express Corporation, Engr. Babaji Isa Yunusa, received the Director General of Gombe State Transport Services (Gombe Line), Dr. Sani Sabo, PhD, during a monitoring and supervisory visit to the corporation’s operational terminal.

The visit formed part of efforts to strengthen inter-state collaboration and enhance service delivery within the transport sector. Engr. Babaji Isa Yunusa conducted the delegation on a comprehensive tour of the station, showcasing the corporation’s operational processes, customer service structure, safety procedures, and administrative coordination.

Speaking during the visit, the General Manager reaffirmed Yankari Express Corporation’s commitment to efficiency, professionalism, and improved passenger experience across its terminals.

KANO LINE TRANSPORT SERVICES VISITS GOMBE LINE FOR STUDY TOUR

Gombe State Transport Services (Gombe Line) recently hosted a delegation from Kano Line Transport Services on a study tour aimed at strengthening public transportation through collaboration, and exchange of ideas.

The delegation, comprising members of the Kano State Government Committee on the Revitalization of Kano Line, was received by the management of Gombe State Transport Services under the leadership of Dr. Sani Sabo, Director General.

The visit focused on studying, learning, and exchanging ideas on effective strategies for revitalizing public transport systems. Discussions highlighted how Gombe Line has successfully adopted strategic measures for transport transformation, including, expansion of operations, revenue generation, passenger safety, staff welfare, and prompt payment of salaries.

The interactive sessions provided a platform for the mutual exchange of ideas, experiences, and best practices, enabling the visiting team to gain valuable insights and practical knowledge, all of which were carefully documented for proper implementation towards revitalizing Kano Line Transport Services.

Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of the Delegation, Alhaji Shuaibu Abdullahi Saidu, who is also the Managing Director, Kano State Transport Authority (Kano Line), expressed his satisfaction with the level of development achieved by Gombe Line. He applauded His Excellency, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, for introducing new ideas and innovations in transport infrastructure, particularly the Modern Mega Motor Park and the Mechanic Village, describing the projects as worthy of emulation.

The delegation further expressed deep appreciation to the management and staff of Gombe Line for their warm hospitality, cooperation, and openness in sharing valuable information throughout the visit.
