Announcement!!!

This is to bring to your notice that the Lagos Ibadan Train Services would now be available in the mornings from Monday, 14th June 2021.

The updated time table for Monday to Friday is as follows:

• Lagos to Ibadan: 8.00 am from Mobolaji Johnson Station.

• Ibadan to Lagos: 8.00 am from Obafemi Awolowo Station at Moniya.

• Lagos to Ibadan: 4.00 pm from Mobolaji Johnson Station Alagomeji.

• Ibadan to Lagos: 4.00 pm from Obafemi Awolowo Station at Moniya.

*Saturday Schedule :

• Lagos to Ibadan: 8.30 am from Mobolaji Johnson Station at Alagomeji

• Ibadan to Lagos: 8.30 am from Obafemi Awolowo Station at Moniya

• Lagos to Ibadan: 6.00 pm from Mobolaji Johnson Station at Alagomeji

• Ibadan to Lagos: 6.00 pm from Obafemi Awolowo Station at Moniya

What this means is that LITS is now available in the mornings from Lagos on Monday through Friday.

Please Note: Alagomeji, Agege, Kajola, Olodo, Papalanto, Abeokuta, and Moniya are now the stop stations of the Lagos Ibadan Train Services.

The newly elected Chairman, Mr Bashir Ambi, made the disclosure in a statement on Sunday in Lagos.

Inaugurating the newly elected officers, the Deputy National Vice President of CILT Nigeria, Dr Alban Igwe charged the incoming executives to exhibit professionalism in other to achieve viable results in the Logistics and Transport sector.

Igwe reminded the team that CILT is fast spreading across the globe due to its significance to Logistics and Transport, which has now moved from over 300 countries to over 400 countries in the World.

He reminded them of the importance of the Chapter which domiciled in the Commercial nerve centre of the Country to enhance on their membership drive of the chapter.

Igwe commended the electoral committee for the transparent way the exercise was conducted.

The National Vice President, FCILT (West) Mrs Magret Ogbonna, who is also a member of the Chapter as well as her Primary Constituency at the National body reminded the gathering that Lagos chapter ”intimidates and outshined” all other chapters in the Country.

She said that Lagos members outshine when it comes to any professional function due to its highest committed professional membership and implored them to maintain the tempo.

Ogbonna, however commended the outgoing executive for their sacrifices to the chapter.

She tasked the incoming executive to uphold the spirit of”team work” for excellent professional results.

The outgone president of the Chapter, Mr James Okpaluwa, gave the stewardship of his administration and thanked members for their supports.

He informed the newly elected executives to contact him for guidance whenever the needs arises.

However, the Electoral Committee Chairman Mrs Juliana Saka before the election had requested members to observe a minute silence in honor of the Late Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru and others who died as a result of ill-fated plane crashed in less than 24-hours.

She commended members for their maturity and commitment to the exercise despite the early morning rain yet members attended.

Saka however announced the results. The electoral Committee had disqualified two aspirants for their glaring disregard to the electoral laws, ranging from failure to fill and submit the form that is even online, proxy, etc.

Officers elected are : Mr Bashir Ambi Mohammed FCILT, Chairman, TPL. Abdulkarim-Yusuf Titilope has Vice Chairman and Mr Aina Akinbola was elected as the General Secretary.

The incoming Chairman and his team were asked to come up with the names of competent hands to fill in the gap for the remaining positions for ratification.

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Chairman, Bashir Ambi on behalf of his team thanked members for their confidence and assured them that the newly elected executives will add value professionally to the institute.

Ambi assured that the new exco would come up with new initiatives that would further enhance professionalism and add value to the Chapter.

He said that It could be said that the election was unique as it had three Council Members of the Institute in attendance to monitored the conduct of the elections which was conducted successfully in a free & fair atmosphere.
