We started yesterday with so much excitement, energy and purpose as Lagride officially kicked off another important phase of its Drive-to-Own programme.

This is not just about putting more vehicles on the road. It is about creating access, expanding economic opportunity, supporting hardworking drivers, strengthening transport options for riders and building a more structured mobility ecosystem for Lagos.

Yesterday at the Lagride Alausa Hub, we celebrated the Lagride Drive-to-Own Graduation 2.0 with vehicle handovers, car key presentations, cash gifts, air fryers, rechargeable fans and appreciation items for our Captains.

It was a strong moment for the Lagride community as Captains shared how the Drive-to-Own programme has improved their income, stability and path to vehicle ownership.

We were honoured to be joined by key stakeholders including Engr. Akin George Fashola, Chief Vehicle Inspection Officer, Lagos State; SRC EO Jayeola, Lagos Sector Public Relations Officer, representing the Lagos Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde Hamzat; Feyisayo Alayande, Executive Secretary and CEO of LSETF; Oloruntimilehin George, Managing Director and CEO of First Pension Custodian Nigeria Limited; Kolawole Ogunbajo, Founder and Managing Director/CEO of Avis Nigeria; and Niyi Saliu, Director, Lagride.

At Lagride, we are building a structured mobility system that trains, supports and empowers Captains while improving the standard of ride-hailing in Lagos.
