ABSTRACT
In todays’ world, Logistics and Transportation companies form the backbone of trade, commerce and travel across our planet. From massive containers weighing thousands of tonnes to tiny envelopes and parcels and even people, the logistics and transportation industry ensures that things get where they need to be, as quickly and as safely as possible. With more and more people moving/travelling from one place to the other, the business of transporting people has become increasingly lucrative. Several organisations - from airliners to taxi companies have sprung up in response to this increase in demand and profitability.
Uber Technologies Incorporated is one such company. With headquarters in San Francisco California USA, they operate a taxi service via their Uber app, a smartphone app which connects prospective passengers to available Uber taxi driver(s). The company does not possess or operate any taxis of its own, choosing instead to rely on independent drivers (with their personal cars), and on their partner companies which provide cars and accompanying drivers to fulfil its customers trip requests.
Being one of these partner companies ZECAS NIGERIA LIMITED, provides cars and drivers for Uber and its potential/prospective customers. While being financially rewarding, provision of these drivers and vehicles is not without its own complications. We have however so far performed our duties to Uber excellently, and are now looking to expand our partnership with them by increasing the number of our vehicles operating as Uber taxis. We intend to liaise with individuals, owners of multiple cars who are open to making revenue for themselves by partnering with us.
