BASIC TOUR GUIDE TRAINING 🏛
Valerides recently had the opportunity to attend the Basic Tour Guide Training conducted by PESO Baguio, the City Government of Baguio, and TESDA at the CDRRMO Office in Baguio City.
The training was facilitated by Ms. Tessie Grail Silawon, a DOT-accredited Master Regional Tour Guide and President of BLITTS CAR Tour Guide Inc., who shared her extensive knowledge and experience in the tourism industry.
The program covered the fundamentals of tour guiding, itinerary planning, destination research and familiarization, commentary techniques, and actual mock guiding sessions at various tourist sites around Baguio City. As aspiring tour guides, we were reminded of our important role as ambassadors who help promote and showcase the beauty, culture, arts, and history of Baguio. 🌼🦁
Beyond the lessons, the training was both fun and enriching. I gained valuable knowledge, improved my communication and guiding skills, deepened my appreciation for local tourism, and built meaningful connections within the industry.
One of my biggest realizations is that tour guiding is a continuous journey of learning, experience, and adventure. No matter how long you have been in the field. 🙂↔️
