PRO7’s WEEKLONG ANTI-CRIMINALITY OPS NET PhP21.5-M WORTH OF SHABU

With PRO7 combined crime prevention and enforcement strategies, authorities seized PhP21.5 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested 644 suspects for various crimes over the past week.

PBGen Anthony A Aberin, PRO7 Director, commended the bravery and dedication of his able, active and allied police who worked tirelessly to keep communities safe alongside the mandate of the PNP organization geared primarily towards maintaining the peace and order situation in Central Visayas.

According to PRO7’s Regional Operations Division data from June 18 to 24, 2023 showed that 3,170.84 grams of shabu with a Standard Drug Price of PhP21,561,712.00 were confiscated during the 151 anti-drug operations conducted that resulted in the arrest of 177 drug suspects.

In the campaign against all forms of illegal gambling activities, police arrested 261 illegal gamblers and confiscated PhP30,267.00 bet money, along with other gambling paraphernalia.

Additionally, the monitoring and operation against loose fi****ms resulted in the confiscation and surrender of 132 fi****ms, three explosives, and ammunition from different police units of this PRO. The continuing drive is in line with the upcoming Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections in October this year. Also, 25 suspects were arrested during the operation.

Further for the same period, in the campaign against wanted persons, PRO7 recorded 181 suspects arrested for various crimes. Of the number, 16 were on the list of most wanted persons, and 165 other wanted persons.

“Our message is clear: We shall not stop until Central Visayas will become a safe haven for all of us. Let us help one another to win this fight under the BIDA Program of the SILG, Atty Benjamin Abalos Jr,” added PBGen Aberin. (PRO7-PIO)

In Carcar City, Cebu, Police Lieutenant Colonel MARK GIFTER T SUCALIT, Head, Carcar City Police Station spearheaded a meeting and talk to the troops on June 5, 2023 held at Carcar City Police Station Conference Room.

During the meeting, the new head introduced the programs, activities, and plans that he will embark during his term to deliver quality police service to the people of Carcar City, Cebu.

Likewise, Police Lieutenant Colonel SUCALIT congratulated the personnel for doing an excellent job and to continue their best practices. Their programs generated good feedback which strengthened good community relations.

Further, he sought the support of the troops to cooperate and promote quality public service that the Carcaranons truly deserve.

TOP 5 MOST WANTED PERSON APPREHENDED AND JAILED

In Carcar City, Cebu, the Top 5 Most Wanted Person in the Provincial Level was arrested in a manhunt operation conducted by Carcar City Police Station on June 5, 2023 in Barangay Poblacion, Carcar City, Cebu.

Joebert Bagol Nacua, 42 years old and resident of Sitio Napo, Carcar City, Cebu fell to the hands of the authority after he was served a warrant of arrest by Carcar City Police Station and Regional Intelligence Unit 7.

The wanted person violated the crime of Murder with no bail recommended. His arrest was issued by Hon Joy Bracero Redoble, Presiding Judge Branch 77 of 7th Judicial Region Carcar City, Cebu.

According to Police Lieutenant Colonel MARK GIFTER T SUCALIT, we will hunt all wanted persons in the city to account all wanted criminals and give an assurance to the people Carcar of their safety.
