Transforming her own journey of hardship into an opportunity to uplift others, 36-year-old entrepreneur Lydie Grace Rocero, owner of Solumi Delights Cafรฉ, distributed school supplies to F. Bustamante National High School (FBNHS) Sci Scholarship Program of the Science Department grantees during Brigada Eskwela 2026โ2027, June 2.
Having experienced financial struggles herself, Rocero saw the donation drive as a way to support the Busta Sci Scholars who are facing similar challenges while encouraging them to remain resilient in pursuing their education despite difficulties.
โAs someone who struggled financially before, itโs time for me to pay it forward for the help I once received," said Rocero. "Through this simple act of kindness for the students, I want to show that education is the strong foundation for success."
As a businesswoman and a mother, she believes that acts of kindness can help open doors for students and serve as reminders that success is attainable through determination, hard work, and perseverance.
Through her contribution, Rocero exemplifies the spirit of volunteerism and bayanihan, proving that success carries greater meaning when shared with others and that even the humblest beginnings can create lasting change in the lives of young learners.
