Job Description
We at ASL Ace Star Logistics are looking for a reliable operations and logistics manager to be responsible for the overall supply chain management. Logistics manager responsibilities include organizing and monitoring storage and distribution of goods. As our Manager Operations and Logistics, you will be responsible for managing and handling the operations related queries and processes relevant to the transportation and logistics industry. You will have to be in constant communication with the relevant people and may involve you going to the trucking markets and hubs. Other tasks include but are not limited to:
1. Manage the entire order cycle to enhance business development and ensure sustainability and client satisfaction.
2. Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse and transportation.
3. Coordinating with operations supervisors and ensure that all on-field operations are executed properly and in line with the guidelines set.
4. Communicate with our Head of Operation and stay up to date with the best rates from various markets at all times.
5. Meet and exceed targets set in terms of generating revenue for the organization
6. Follow up on customer communications in a timely and professional manner.
7. Must maintain good relations with transporters to keep them on our platform and assist them whenever necessary.
8. Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers.
9. Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
10. Arrange warehouse, plan routes and process shipments.
11. Resolve any arising problems or complaints.
12. Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce.
13. Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements.
14. Comply with laws, regulations requirement.
15. Responsible for securing new clients, and maintaining and developing existing accounts
16. Regularly visit existing accounts, providing the best service and develop new revenue streams
17. To market new clients for the company, prepare feasibility, obtain approvals and execute contract and implementation of the service to the client.
18. Manage by virtue of entire operations assigned client accounts as per feasibility and guidelines and company SOPs.
19. Conduct operational meetings for assessing, reviewing, and suggesting improvements to assigned client operations with both the client and the supervisors who are looking after day to day operations of the clients. Site visits should be made regularly.
20. Ensure all required reporting as per the client and the company as provided.
21. Participate in the driver training program as an instructor at least twice a year and take at least two technical training course each year will be chosen by management.
Eligibility Criteria and Requirements
· Education: Minimum Bachelors.
· Minimum 3 years of proven experience in supply chain or logistics/ transportation industry, as a manager or in any lead position, which includes operations, field work and dealing with vendors and suppliers.
· Record of successful distribution and logistics management.
· Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff.
· Proficient in standard logistics software.
· Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills
· Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
· Good communication and negotiation skills and client/vendor dealing skills.
