Once an ant was working at a company.

Every day, the ant would start work early without wasting time, it got straight to work. The company saw a significant increase in productivity because of the ant's efforts, and the ant enjoyed its life.

The company's CEO, a lion, was impressed that the ant worked so much without supervision.

The lion thought that if the ant had a supervisor, it could be even more productive. So, the lion hired a cockroach as the ant's supervisor, as the cockroach had experience and was good at writing reports.

The cockroach decided that the office needed an attendance system and soon felt it needed a secretary to help with reports, so it hired a spider.

The lion was happy with the daily reports and presentations the cockroach made about the ant's work.


Soon, the cockroach asked for a computer and a printer, and an IT department was formed, with a fly as the IT specialist.

Now, the once-happy ant had to fill out lots of paperwork and attend meetings.
As a result, the ant became frustrated, and its productivity decreased.

The lion decided to form a new department for the ant's work, and a cricket was hired as the department head. The cricket ordered luxurious furniture and needed an assistant, which it hired from its previous office.

The once lively and cheerful workplace became grim and silent, and productivity continued to decline. The lion hired an owl, a consultant, to assess the situation.

The Owl's report concluded that there were too many employees, and layoffs were necessary.

Guess who was laid off first? The hardworking ant, because the owl's report claimed the ant lacked motivation and was harming the office environment.
