As Culinary Curator of the Eastern & Oriental Express, Chef André Chiang is celebrated for his innovative fusion cuisine and collaborations with some of the world’s most acclaimed chefs. This year, he invites you to embark on a
journey of spices and creativity as three renowned chefs join him to reimagine dining in motion.

On the opening Tastes of Tomorrow journey, Chef Simon Rogan will be Chef Chiang’s first collaborator. Simon Rogan is the chef-owner of the three-Michelin-starred L’Enclume and the one-Michelin-starred Aulis Phuket,
alongside a portfolio of further Michelin-starred restaurants. Renowned for his pioneering approach to the farm-to-fork movement, Chef Rogan’s dishes highlight native ingredients and the rich diversity of different regions.

Guests can look forward to experiencing this ethos in a one-of-a-kind menu crafted exclusively for the Eastern & Oriental Express.

Tastes of Tomorrow returns to the Eastern & Oriental Express in 2026, inviting guests on a series of extraordinary culinary journeys through Malaysia.

Across three departures in March, September, and November, Chef Chiang will collaborate with a different internationally renowned chef to craft immersive dining experiences on board.

Each three-night adventure explores the concept of 'home' through food, memory, and a sense of place. Menus fuse regional Malaysian ingredients with each guest chef’s distinct philosophy, reimagining familiar flavours
through new landscapes and modern perspectives. As the train winds through vibrant scenery, each dish becomes a journey.
