Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating injured, abused, or displaced wildlife from around Thailand. Located in Phetchaburi province, approximately 2.5 hours southwest of Bangkok, WFFT operates the largest multi-species wildlife rescue center and elephant refuge in Southeast Asia.  
Founded in 2001, WFFT provides care to more than 700 rescued animals, including elephants, gibbons, macaques, bears, otters, birds, and more. The foundation’s elephant refuge is Asia’s first completely chain-free sanctuary, allowing rescued elephants to live freely in large forested enclosures.  
Visitors can explore the wildlife rescue center, the wildlife hospital, and the elephant sanctuary by booking a day trip from Bangkok, Cha-am, or nearby Hua Hin. The center offers full-access tours introducing animals and discussing rescue histories.
