One month away! Join the fight against triple-negative breast cancer by riding in the 6th Annual Tour de VRE. Choose your route: A 35-mile Full Pull from Backlick Rd Station or an 8-mile Ride from Manassas Park Station. Participants can take a special VRE train up to the start line before or after the race.

Entry includes a commemorative Tour de VRE T-shirt, socks & VRE

VRE Riders - Thank you for your patience this morning, September 3, as our trains experienced significant delays due to signal issues just south of Alexandria. CSX has repaired the malfunctioning switch, and it is not anticipated to cause any issues during this afternoon's service.

At the same time, VRE experienced an outage of our Train Talk text alert system. We recognize that this created additional confusion and inconvenience for our riders. VRE staff were able to immediately work to identify and correct the issue, and we've implemented additional measures to prevent this from happening again in the future.

We appreciate your steadfast support as VRE strives for excellence in providing our riders with safe, efficient, and reliable service.

SERVICE ALERT, October 19 - 23: VRE will run a modified schedule the week of Oct 19 - 23 to accommodate Amtrak’s infrastructure rehabilitation project that will temporarily eliminate access to Union Station. VRE trains will service all stations up to L'Enfant Station with some reduction in frequency. Schedule details are being finalized, and updates will be shared via Train Talk and VRE.org/schedule.
