To kick off National EMS Week, the leadership team from LifeStar Response and Keystone Quality Transport had the opportunity to spend time with some of our incredible crews at Geno's Steaks Baltimore location. It was a great afternoon of cheesesteaks, conversation, and appreciation for the hardworking EMTs, Paramedics, Dispatchers, and support staff who dedicate themselves every day to caring for our patients.

EMS Week is about recognizing the commitment, sacrifice, and professionalism of the men and women who answer the call 24/7, and we are proud to celebrate the amazing team that makes LifeStar and KQT successful. Thank you to everyone who stopped by — and thank you to all of our EMS professionals for everything you do throughout the year.

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our colleague and friend, Howard Muir.

Howard was a valued member of the LifeStar Response family since 2013. He was known not only for his dedication to his work, but for the warmth and kindness he brought to those around him. He was always ready with a story, often stopping to visit coworkers frequently with his faithful companion, Furby,(his Dog) by his side bringing a smile to everyone he met.

Howard shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Gayle, whom he married in 2017. He loved riding his motorcycle with Gayle beside him, creating memories on the open road. Above all, Howard adored his grandchildren and cherished every moment he spent with them, speaking of them often with pride and joy.
He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Please keep Howard’s family, friends, and loved ones in your thoughts during this difficult time.

More LifeStar Response and Keystone Quality Transport ambulances are being placed into service in Ukraine today. This is part of our effort to support "US Ambulances for Ukraine", who are helping meet urgent humanitarian needs overseas.

These donated units will play a vital role in supporting emergency medical response efforts and ensuring patients receive the care they need during critical moments.

We are proud to support this initiative and stand alongside those delivering life-saving services where they are needed most.

Today, an outstanding team of LifeStar Response professionals came together to successfully and safely complete a logistically complex transport to a residence from George Washington University Hospital.

This type of mission requires not only clinical expertise, but seamless coordination, communication, and teamwork—and this crew delivered on all fronts.

💙 It’s Always Nice to Hear from Our Patients 💙

We are incredibly grateful when patients take the time to share their experiences.

On February 3, 2026, Lifestar crew of Calvin Haupt and Dana Martin transported a patient from George Washington University Hospital to a radiation appointment. She shared that the transport team did a top-notch job keeping her comfortable and warm throughout the transport.

She also mentioned feeling afraid about her procedure, but that Ms. Martin took the time to calm her, provide reassurance, and was there when treatment was over to safely transport her back to GW.

Compassion matters. Clinical excellence matters. Moments like this remind us why we do what we do.

Thank you to our team for delivering First Class patient care. 👏🚑

🌟 First Class Patient Care

Yesterday, we received a call from a caregiver for his mother regarding her transport home. He specifically asked that we recognize the outstanding care provided by Unit 105 crew members Stephen Anderson and Jaquan Pope out of Dover.

He shared that Stephen and Jaquan were fantastic, highlighting their excellent bedside manner, the way they kept his mother comfortable throughout the transport, and the professionalism they demonstrated from start to finish. He described the experience as “First Class” and made it clear he wanted the company to hear the positive feedback, not just the complaints.

At LifeStar, patient comfort, dignity, and professionalism matter, and Stephen and Jaquan demonstrated exactly what that looks like.

👏 Outstanding work, gentlemen.
👏 Proud to have you representing Dover and the LifeStar team.

🌹 In Loving Memory of EMT Fallon Novack 🌹

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our teammate, Johns Hopkins Pediatric Transport Team EMT Fallon Novack.

Fallon joined our company in May 2022 and quickly became a valued member of our family. Her compassion for patients, dedication to her work, and the kindness she showed to everyone around her made a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Fallon’s commitment to serving others reflected the very best of what it means to wear the uniform. She will be deeply missed by her coworkers, friends, and the countless patients and families she helped along the way.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Fallon’s family and loved ones during this difficult time.💙
