We are proud to recognize EMTs Jaquan Pope and Hannah Murray for their awareness, compassion, and quick action while on duty.

While traveling to a call, Jaquan and Hannah noticed two young children in the median of a very busy highway who appeared to be trying to cross without an adult present. Recognizing the immediate danger, they pulled over and made contact with the children to ensure they were safe and out of harm’s way. They remained with them until law enforcement arrived and could take over.

Being an EMT is about more than responding to calls, it’s about recognizing when someone needs help and taking action. Jaquan and Hannah saw a potentially dangerous situation and did not hesitate to step in.

Thank you, Jaquan and Hannah, for your awareness, compassion, and commitment to keeping members of our community safe. We are proud to have you on our team! 🙌🙏

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to our LifeStar Response Eastern Shore Employee Mingle at Burnish Beer Company!

It was a fantastic evening filled with great conversations, plenty of laughs, delicious food, and drinks. Most importantly, it was an opportunity for our team to spend time together outside of work, reconnect with coworkers, and share stories from across our Eastern Shore operations.

This week, two members of the LifeStar Response team demonstrated exactly what it means to put patients first.
We would like to recognize Paramedic, Josh Colvert and EMT, Daniel Lumb for their outstanding dedication, professionalism, and commitment to patient care.

At approximately 5:00 p.m., we were faced with three out-of-town ALS transport requests but only two available crews. Josh and Daniel were scheduled to finish his shift at 7:00 p.m., yet when asked if he would take an additional critical transport, he immediately said yes without hesitation.

After completing the calls already assigned to them, Josh and Daniel arrived at PRMC around to transport a critically ill 10-month-old infant to a higher level of care.

Their willingness to remain well beyond the end of their scheduled shifts ensured that this young patient received the critical care transport they needed without unnecessary delay. This is more than just doing a job, it's a reflection of the professionalism, teamwork, compassion, and dedication that defines LifeStar Response.

Josh and Daniel, thank you for always putting patients first and for representing our organization with excellence. We are incredibly proud to have you on our team.

Saturday night, LifeStar Response was proud to provide EMS coverage for RÜFÜS DU SOL's stop at Audi Field in Washington, D.C., as part of their North America Tour.

Our team remained busy throughout the event, supporting guests in the General Admission floor section and responding to calls across the stadium. As expected at a large summer concert, many of the responses involved guests who had become overheated or passed out.

By the end of the night, our crew completed 35 patient responses, with only one patient requiring transport to the hospital. The remaining patients were successfully assessed and treated on-site through our field medical operations.

This outcome is a testament to the professionalism, clinical expertise, and dedication of our EMS team, who worked tirelessly to keep concertgoers safe while allowing them to continue enjoying the event whenever possible.

Thank you to all of the LifeStar team members who worked at this event and represented our organization with excellence.

Last week, we had the privilege of helping fulfill the final wish of a hospice patient—to visit the beach one last time, put her feet in the sand, and feel the ocean water.

Our Training Manager, Kyle Tran and EMT, Rachel Cleary, graciously volunteered to make the six-hour round trip from Baltimore to the Delaware shore to ensure this special moment could happen. Thanks to their compassion and dedication, this patient was able to create one final cherished memory with her loved ones.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Rehoboth Beach Police Department for their assistance. Their team provided an es**rt to the beach and helped navigate the shoreline, making this experience possible and safe for everyone involved.
Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. It is an honor to serve our communities—not only during times of medical need, but also during life's most meaningful moments.

Fleet Maintenance Division Spotlight

We want to recognize the incredible work of our Fleet Maintenance Division. While they may work behind the scenes, their dedication and expertise are essential to keeping our operations running safely and efficiently every day.

Over the past two weeks alone, our maintenance team has worked closely with Operations to successfully complete MIEMSS inspections on all 83 ambulances in our fleet, as well as state inspections for 25 wheelchair vans, all while staying on schedule with ongoing repairs and preventive maintenance.
As we continue investing in new vehicles and upgrading our fleet with the latest models and technology, it's worth noting that one of our most senior ambulances achieved an incredible milestone this week: 700,000 miles!

Reaching this level of longevity is a testament to the skill, dedication, and attention to detail of our mechanics. Thanks to their hard work, some of our veteran vehicles continue to perform alongside the newest units in our fleet.

To kick off National EMS Week, the leadership team from LifeStar Response and Keystone Quality Transport had the opportunity to spend time with some of our incredible crews at Geno's Steaks Baltimore location. It was a great afternoon of cheesesteaks, conversation, and appreciation for the hardworking EMTs, Paramedics, Dispatchers, and support staff who dedicate themselves every day to caring for our patients.

EMS Week is about recognizing the commitment, sacrifice, and professionalism of the men and women who answer the call 24/7, and we are proud to celebrate the amazing team that makes LifeStar and KQT successful.
