CELEBRATING 12 YEARS WITH Igor Leykin
Twelve years and a story that started long before April 21st.
Every year on May 17th, Igor and his family celebrate the day they arrived in America. Not by birth, but by choice. From humble beginnings, working at McDonald’s and building vending routes with his brother, to chasing something bigger, that foundation built everything that came after.
On April 21st, 12 years ago, he took over Fox Valley Cab and turned it into something more than a business.
He made it a home.
This has never just been about rides or routes. It has always been about people.
For so many of us, this became a place we landed when life was uncertain. A place we were given chances. A place that turned into something steady when everything else was not.
Igor has always treated people like family.
He will give you the shirt off his back, the food off his plate, and never once hold it over your head. The extra help, the second chances, the quiet support behind the scenes, most people will never truly know how much he has done.
Some people appreciate it. Some do not.
But that does not change who he is.
And what many do not see is everything he has built.
Over these 12 years, he did not just keep a company going, he transformed it. He brought in new technology that made things easier for drivers, dispatch, and customers. He modernized systems, upgraded vehicles, expanded into medical transportation, and pushed this company forward when it would have been easier to stay the same.
He made the hard decisions.
He invested when it was risky.
He carried the weight so the rest of us could keep moving.
That is leadership.
Not just running something, but building it into something that lasts.
He takes the time to know his people. He creates opportunities. He believes in growth. He makes sure no one here feels like just a number.
Through every long day, every challenge, every moment where it would have been easier to walk away, he stayed.
He continues to show up.
From May 17th, a new beginning in a new country,
To April 21st, building something that became a home for others,
Twelve years of grit.
Twelve years of growth.
Twelve years of giving more than most will ever see.
