In honor of Veteran’s Day we wanted to announce our donation of our M60 tank to the GA National Guard. It is now on display at the Clay National Guard Center in Marietta, GA. They and we are all thrilled with the results.
We had wanted to place it at a Douglas County park as a Veteran’s memorial, but it was not meant to be.
We are so very grateful to the GA National Guard for stepping up and offering us a place to make it a Veteran’s memorial. We had it painted the proper Vietnam era paint prior to delivering it. They are having a historian find the appropriate stenciling to put on it to match an actual tank unit for its time period.
We want to offer our heartfelt thanks to Rodney Elrod with Super Quick Towing & Recovery in Douglasville for proving the rotator to load and offload the tank and the very capable experienced operator. They made it look easy.
