Big News From Charge In The !

"In an effort to reduce e-scooter clutter on Atlanta’s roads, micromobility company Charge installed a massive charging station in downtown Atlanta, which often sees a high influx of scooter riders.

The company launched the charging hub amid debate and concerns over how to better regulate e-scooters in the Atlanta area"

The hubs can charge 72 e-scooters or bikes at a time.

Co-founder and CEO Andrew Fox told Smart Cities Dive that Charge has agreements to install chargers on 400 sites in the city once e-scooters are approved for use in the city.

A bill legalizing the scooters has passed the state legislature but is awaiting a signature from New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

The startup is displaying a model docking and charging station in Manhattan to prepare for the vehicles' legalization under state law.

Reef Technology announced a deal with Charged to install charging and service stations for e-scooters and e-bikes at 4,800 locations.

"Our expanded footprint, through our partnership with Reef will enable Charge to grow in visible and desirable locations where electric assets are in high use," said Andrew Fox, Charge's CEO.

The technology company, formerly known as ParkJockey, aims to transform thousands of city parking garages into hubs of economic activity.
